Delegates from border state most effective in exposing Pakistan globally: MP Boparai
Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh Boparai, who has been inducted in group 2 of India’s delegation to Europe as a part of Operation Sindoor, talks to Mahesh Sharma about his agenda as a representative from Punjab, the worst sufferer of Pakistan’s hidden or overt enmity against India.
As a part of Operation Sindoor, India’s major diplomatic action against terrorism the Union Government is dispatching Group 2 of its nine member delegation to Europe and the team led by former Union Minister and BJP MP Ravinder Shankar Prasad is scheduled to visit the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark and the EU headquarters in Brussels soon. Motive behind the mission is to expose Pakistan’s role in buttressing cross border terrorism and highlight India’s resolve regarding zero tolerance towards Pakistan sponsored terrorism.
Like other members of the delegation, my basic agenda will be to contribute to expose Pakistan and garner global support for my nation by following a schedule and itinerary to be given a vide dossier expected to be provided during a meeting scheduled to take place on May 23.
Besides following the dossier, as a representative of the border state, having suffered brunt during 1965 and 1971 Indo Pak wars I will be better able to illustrate sinister designs of successive Pakistan Governments in destabilizing India through most vulnerable borders touching Punjab.
Having spent five decades of my active life at various places including Amritsar as a student of Medical College, I have fairly better knowledge about reports regarding functioning of terrorist training camps in Pakistan, issue related with PoK, Pakistan sponsored narco-terrorism and cross border smuggling of weapons, which I will be narrating to our target audience in countries scheduled to be visiting soon.
On the basis of regular flow of information received as a Punjab I believe to be the most effective member to expose Pakistan besides facilitating the Government underscore cross-party consensus on national security as a Congress MP. I will also try to update Indian Diaspora about Pakistan’s role in spreading hatred in the region. (As told to Mahesh Sharma)
