Arora assumes charge as Talwara MC prez
The newly elected president of Nagar Council, Talwara, Harsh Kumar Ashu Arora, assumed charge at the Nagar Council office today. In the function organised by the Nagar Council under the leadership of MLA Dasuha, Karambir Ghuman, Dr Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, attended as the chief guest, while Lok Sabha member Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal was a special guest.
During her address, Dr Gurpreet Kaur Mann congratulated the newly elected president of Nagar Council Ashu Arora. She said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was working hard with honesty and dedication to make Punjab the most prosperous state of the country. The Chief Minister was running a special campaign to make Punjab completely drug-free, as well as making special efforts to eliminate corruption from the state. She said that along with this, the Punjab Government has brought revolutionary changes by paying special attention to education and health. Dr Gurpreet Kaur Mann also said that the Punjab Government has given jobs to 55,000 youth and she was hopeful that Ashu Arora will leave no stone unturned to ensure the all-round development of Talwara city.
Addressing the function, Lok Sabha member Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was working to save the water and youth of Punjab. He said that he has done unprecedented work for the Kandi area and has provided great convenience to the people through free electricity.
MLA Advocate Karamveer Singh Ghuman thanked the guests and honoured them.
Municipal Council president Ashu Arora assured to work with full dedication for the all-round development of Talwara. He said that he will not let the people of Talwara face any problem.
