Mumbai-Telangana Travelling Made Hassle-Free; TGSRTC Set To Initiate Sleeper Bus Services After Residents' Request Connectivity To Vemulwada
Mumbai: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has launched a new bus route linking the temple city of Vemulawada to Mumbai. The service, launched by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, seeks to offer a convenient transportation choice for locals.
This route will feature two Lahari sleeper coach A/C buses, providing 20 sleeper choices along with 22 standard seats. The bus leaving Vemulawada at 12:30 pm will reach Mumbai the next day at 4:45 am. During the return trip, the bus will leave Mumbai at 1 pm and reach Vemulawada the next day at 5 pm.
Ponnam Prabhakar, the Minister of Transport of Telangana announced about the new bus service in his recent X post with a caption that translates to: "Two RTC Lahari AC buses from Vemulawada to Mumbai The buses were launched at Vemulawada Temple by Government Whip Adi Srinivas and other key leaders and officials."
The cost for adults using a sleeper is Rs 2,000, whereas children will pay Rs 1,600. In the meantime, the cost of a ticket is Rs 1,500 for adults and Rs 1,230 for children during this temporary phase.
This bus service is anticipated to offer a substitute for train travel for travelers. In comparison, the train ride from Secunderabad to Mumbai CSMT on the Falaknuma Express lasts about 14 hours, whereas the bus ride from Vemulawada to Mumbai takes roughly 16 hours and 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the sleeper bus alternative provides the convenience of a bed throughout the trip, which could attract travelers who value sleep while commuting.
The launch of this service is a positive development for the residents of Vemulawada and nearby regions, offering them a direct and convenient link to Mumbai. The TGSRTC's Vemulawada-Mumbai service is set to draw in travelers looking for a convenient travel choice with its sleeper coach A/C buses and affordable prices.
