Jyoti used to get clearance from Pakistan before uploading videos on social media

During the interrogation of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, it has come to light that she used to send videos related to her Pakistan contact Danish before uploading the same on the social media.

Intelligence sources said she would upload the videos to social media only after receiving clearance from him. She has 1.33 lakh followers on her Instagram account which has been blocked now. She also has about 3.39 lakh followers on YouTube which has risen significantly after her arrest in the case.

She had uploaded several videos from her travels to Pakistan on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. The investigation revealed that after shooting these videos in Pakistan, Jyoti would send them to Danish, an employee of the Pakistani embassy. Danish would review the videos thoroughly. She would upload the videos to social media platforms after getting clearance from him. “It is believed that Danish used to get scenes deleted that could harm Pakistan’s image,” said a source.

Notably, Jyoti has accounts in four different banks, which are currently under scrutiny. The police have declined to comment on the transactions so far.
