Class XII English revised result out after re-evaluation

Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE) today announced the revised result of Class XII after rectifying the mistake in the evaluation of the English exam. Following the rechecking, the overall pass percentage has gone up from 83.16 per cent to 88.64 per cent, an increase of 5.48 per cent. The revised result is available on the official website of the board www.hpbose.org. Candidates can check their revised result by entering their roll number.

Of the total 86,373 candidates who took the exam, 76,315 have passed, which amounts to an overall pass percentage of 88.64 per cent. The increase in overall pass percentage is the result of the revaluation rule, which benefits the students as marks are not reduced on re-evaluation.

The HP education board had announced the result on May 17, but later it announced a re-evaluation of the Class XII English examination paper following detection of an error in the answer key used during result compilation. The decision for the revaluation came in response to growing concern among students and educationists.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur intervened and directed the HPBOSE to conduct an immediate investigation at the earliest.
