Advance Weightlifting coaching camp begins

JAMMU, May 21: An Advance Coaching Camp for elite weightlifters commenced at the New Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today. Organized by veteran weightlifters of J&K in collaboration with J&K Weightlifting Association, the camp will run from May 21 to 30, aiming to enhance the technical skills and performance of athletes. A total of 17 elite-level players, both boys and girls, are participating in the intensive training sessions.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Harbhajan Singh, President of the J&K Weightlifting Association, along with veteran weightlifters and coaches including Ravi Singh (Retd. DSO & Coach), Pritam Singh, Inderpal Singh (Retd. Coach), Lakhvinder Singh and Kunal Mishra.
Players were provided with sports kits and daily refreshments in the presence of Dr. Dhanraj Singh Slathia (Senior Weightlifting Coach) and Akash Virdhi (Coach). The camp reflects a strong effort to promote advanced training and excellence in weightlifting across the region.
