In such a situation, PC Mohan, MP from Bengaluru Central of the Bharatiya Janata Party, asked IT companies to consider giving work from home to their employees. Taking the help of his microblogging site X, he has said that all companies including Infosys should compulsorily work from home for two days due to rain.

Looking at the situation in Bengaluru due to rain, IT firm Cognizant also asked to work from home on May 20. This US company has about 40 thousand employees in Bengaluru. On the other hand, Infosys has already adopted a three-day work from home policy. In such a situation, many employees have opted to work from home due to bad weather.
According to the report of Money Control, Infosys has given work from home to its employees on May 21. According to reports, the company has written in a mail issued to its employees that if needed, work from home can be done. It further states that in view of the weather, all the employees of the company, if they want, can take the option of work from home by talking to their respective manager on Wednesday, May 21.
Many roads closed in Bengaluru
Meanwhile, Bengaluru police had temporarily closed the road between Silk Board and Rupena Agrahara on Hosur Road from 9 am to 11 am due to heavy rains and waterlogging. Along with this, the 9.9 km long expressway from Central Board Junction to Electronic City was also affected. It is worth noting that there are many IT companies in Bengaluru including Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Siemens and TCS.
