14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Picked In India's U19 Squad For England Tour After His IPL 2025 Exploits; Ayush Mhatre To Lead

14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi and 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre's IPL performances have been rewarded by the BCCI's junior selection committee by naming them in the India U19 squad for the forthcoming England tour. The tour comprises of a warm-up 50-over fixture, followed by a five-match youth one-day rubber and two Multi-day games against England U19 team.

Suryavanshi has set IPL 2025 on fire, becoming the youngest player in history to score a half-century and century. The Rajasthan Royals opener notably hit the first ball he faced in IPL for a six and has finished the tournament with 252 runs in seven matches alongside a strike rate of 206.55. Mhatre has equally showcased his capabilities in the tournament, hitting 206 runs in six matches for the Chennai Super Kings, striking at 187.27.

With the Super Kings still having one match to go, Mhatre, who has been appointed captain of the England tour, will be determined to make the most of it. The tour starts on June 24 with the 50-over warm-up game at the Loughborough University.
