Alex Garland to direct live-action movie 'Elden Ring'

Alex Garland is slated to direct A24's live-action adaptation of the acclaimed video game "Elden Ring," a dark fantasy epic based on a story by George R. R. Martin. The game, which has shipped over 30 million units worldwide since its 2022 release, will be brought to the screen by producers Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Martin, and Vince Gerardis. Garland's recent work includes co-directing "Warfare."
