The court of Sessions Judge, Faridabad, Sandeep Garg, sentenced an accused to life imprisonment and imposed a fine on him for murdering his acquaintance in a quarrel over Rs 150 while eating at a restaurant in 2022. According to the police, the FIR for murder was registered at Khedipul police station against unknown persons. Tejpal, a resident of Budhaina village, filed a complaint and stated that on January 29, 2022, his 26-year-old son, Dalip, who used to work as a painter, returned home from work.

At around 9 pm, he went to Shiv Dhaba at Budhaina Chowk to get food. After this, he did not return. The next day, on January 30, early in the morning, a person from the village informed Tejram that his son Dalip’s body was lying near the Budhaina culvert. When Tejram reached there, his son was found lying dead.

When the police conducted the postmortem, eight injury marks were found on the body of the deceased. During investigations, the police went to the dhaba and found that there was a fight between Dalip and one Yogendra. Soon after, the police took Yogendra (30) into custody.

During interrogation, Yogendra revealed that he knew Dalip beforehand. He had given him money for the food at the eatery, out of which Dalip had kept Rs 150. When a dispute arose over this, he kicked and punched Dalip and then hit him on the head with a tile. He fled from the spot after the incident and Dalip died. After this, the police arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody after being produced in a city court.
