Actor Vindu Dara Singh, who worked with Mukul Dev in the film ‘Son of Sardar’, confirmed the news of the actor’s death in a conversation with India Today \ Aaj Tak. He told that Mukul was ill for some time. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital, after which he said goodbye to this world forever.
Expressing grief, Vindu Dara Singh said- Mukul will no longer be able to see himself on the big screen. After the death of his parents, Mukul was isolating himself. He did not even go out of the house and did not meet anyone. Mukul was unwell for the last few days and was admitted to the hospital. He was a wonderful person and we will all miss him.

Mukul’s friend and famous TV actress Deepshikha Nagpal is deeply shocked by the actor’s death. Deepshikha has remembered Mukul by posting a photo with him on her social media handle.
While talking to India Today \ Aaj Tak, Deepshikha told that Mukul had never talked to anyone about his health. He has a friend group on WhatsApp, where they used to talk often. The actress got emotional and said- I got this news when I woke up in the morning. I have been calling his number since then, hoping that he will pick up the phone.

Mukul had made a special identity in films and TV
Born in Delhi, Mukul started his career with TV in the year 1996. He was first seen in the serial ‘Mumkin’. He also worked in Doordarshan’s comedy Bollywood countdown show ‘Ek Se Badhkar Ek’. He started his journey in Bollywood with the film ‘Dastak’ with Sushmita Sen in 1996. Apart from this, he won the hearts of fans by working in many other films including ‘Qila’ (1998), ‘Wajud’ (1998), ‘Kohram’ (1999) and ‘Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao’ (2001).
Mukul impressed fans with his excellent work in Hindi and Punjabi films as well as television and many music albums. Apart from this, Mukul also worked in some Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films. He was awarded the 7th Amrish Puri Award for his powerful acting in the film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’.
