After exiting Hera Pheri 3, Paresh Rawal takes BIG step, decides to…

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has formally ended his association with Hera Pheri series, taking exit from the third installment of one of the most iconic comedy films. Multiple media reports claim that Rawal has returned Rs 11 lakh advance, with 15 percent annual interest. The actor, according to report, also had ‘reservations’ about a particular clause in the sheet.

A source quoted in Bollywood Hungama stated that Paresh Rawal has paid more than the signing amount and the interest, “Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of ₹11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series. Paresh Rawal was paid ₹11 lakhs as a signing amount as per the term sheet. His total fees were locked at ₹15 crores.” The source reported.

As per the clause, Paresh Rawal will receive the rest of his fees after the film’s release, which wouldn’t be until 2026 or 2027. Report states, “The term sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal would receive the balance amount – ₹14.89 crores – only one month after the release of the film. The senior actor had reservations about this clause. Also, the film’s principal shoot was to commence sometime next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 was unlikely to be released before late 2026 or in the year 2027. In short, Paresh would have had to wait for nearly two years to get the rest of his acting fees.”

Paresh Rawal’s sudden departure has sent shockwaves among fans and entire film fraternity. Akshay Kumar, who also serves as the producer of Hera Pheri 3, sued the actor for backing out. His production house, Cape of Good Films, has filed Rs 25 crore legal claim against Rawal for breaching contract terms after already shooting some promotional content including a teaser and certain scenes with him and Suniel Shetty.

With Rawal’s exit and ongoing legal proceedings, Hera Pheri 3’s release and casting remains uncertain. The producers have yet to comment on any possible casting and storyline adjustments for the film.
