We are currently investigating the patient’s travel history to assess possible sources of transmission,” she said.
Dr Neelam Verma, deputy civil surgeon, said that all the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) in the district have been directed to collect samples of the patients showing symptoms similar to Covid-19. The aim is to ensure early detection and containment of disease.
She also urged the public to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour, including wearing masks in crowded places, maintaining hand hygiene, and observing social distancing where required. She appealed residents to get themselves tested immediately if they experience symptoms such as fever, cough, cold or fatigue.
