Development projects inspected at Yamunanagar village
Mayor Suman Bahamani visited Bhagwangarh village under Ward 4 of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ).
She inspected the sanitation condition and other development works in the village.
During the inspection, the pond of the village was found filled with filth.
Besides, an electricity pole was found damaged behind Dayal Singh Public School.
“I have directed Chief Sanitation Inspector Harjeet Singh to get the pond cleaned as soon as possible, so that there is no obstruction in the drainage of water from the village,” said Bahamani.
The villagers also told the Mayor about the problem of a damaged electricity pole, situated at the periphery of the village (close to Dayal Singh Public School).
The villagers told the Mayor that the damaged pole could cause an accident anytime.
The villagers also told her that there was also a possibility of electric shock from it when it rains.
The Mayor immediately called the Executive Engineer concerned and instructed him to solve the problem as soon as possible.
“I have directed the Executive Engineer of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam to get the damaged electricity pole repaired soon,” said Bahamani.
She said keeping in mind the public interest, the officers should solve the problems of every citizen as soon as possible.
During the inspection, she was accompanied by Municipal Councillors Ruchi Kamboj, Priyank Sharma and BJP leader Ghasitu Kamboj.
The Mayor directly interacted with the residents of Bhagwangarh village and listened to their problems.
The residents of the area put forward the issues of cleanliness, loose electric wires, issue of filth in the pond and other problems before the Mayor.
After listening to their problems, the Mayor gave instructions to the officials concerned to solve their problems.
“Any kind of delay and negligence in the works being done in public interest will not be tolerated. The works related to public interest should be completed on priority,” said Bahamani.
She said they were committed to development in all wards of the MCYJ.
“The municipal corporation is working towards improving the living standards of the residents and strengthening basic facilities. We are all engaged in making twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri clean and beautiful,” the Mayor said.
She said the general public should also cooperate with the municipal corporation in making twin cities beautiful and they should not throw garbage in the open.
