Former minister seeks FIR against Rohtak MP
Former Haryana minister and BJP leader Krishan Murti Hooda has sought the registration of an FIR against Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda for allegedly insulting the local Deputy Commissioner.
“The state government should get an FIR registered against the MP for insulting a senior IAS officer who is the Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak district. If the government does not do so, I will file a court case and seek the registration of an FIR against Deepender Hooda,” the BJP leader said while addressing a news conference here today.
He remarked that the Congress MP was trying to target the government as he was disappointed by his party’s defeat in the recent elections to the state Assembly. Former Haryana minister and senior BJP leader Manish Grover has also decried the insult of the local Deputy Commissioner by the Congress MP, terming it an outcome of the MP’s arrogance.
Deepender Hooda had castigated the local DC for not coming out to receive him at the venue of the district development coordination and monitoring committee meeting at Rohtak on Friday. Hooda junior is under fire from various quarters over the episode.
