Tiranga Yatra in Paonta Sahib echoes with patriotism, tribute to Op Sindoor heroes

In a stirring display of nationalism and solidarity, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday organised a grand Tiranga Yatra (Tri-colour Rally) in Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district, as part of its state-wide campaign to honour the bravery of Indian soldiers under Operation Sindoor.

The rally commenced from the historic Ramleela Ground and witnessed enthusiastic participation from BJP leaders, party workers and local residents. Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur, BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal, Paonta Sahib MLA Sukh Ram Chaudhary and former MLA Baldev Singh Tomar led the march, waving the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans.

“Our brave soldiers have delivered a strong and dignified response to Pakistan. Operation Sindoor has once again showcased the valour and preparedness of our armed forces. This Tiranga Yatra is our heartfelt tribute to their sacrifices,” said Anurag Thakur, addressing the crowd.

Bindal reiterated the rally’s objective: “This is more than a political programme — it’s a people’s movement to honour our jawans. We want to assure them that the entire nation stands behind them with unwavering respect.”

The streets of Paonta Sahib reverberated with slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” as thousands, including youth, women and senior citizens, marched in unison. Clad in tricolour-themed outfits, participants showcased a vibrant expression of patriotism.

The rally passed through major town routes and concluded with a public meeting, where floral tributes were offered to the martyrs of the armed forces. Cultural performances and patriotic songs infused the atmosphere with emotion and pride, turning the event into a powerful display of national unity.
