Male Leopard Found Dead In Panna Tiger Reserve, Third Mysterious Death In 2 Weeks

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A male leopard was found dead in the Panna Tiger Reserve (PTR) on Saturday.

The body was found in the South Hinouta range, compartment number 537.

After the body was found, the Satna Dog Squad team reached the spot to help in the investigation.

This is not the first animal death in PTR recently. In the last two weeks, three wild animals have died.

Before this, the body of another leopard and a bear were also found inside the reserve. These repeated deaths have created worry among forest officials and wildlife lovers.

No clear reason has been found yet for these deaths.

Forest teams are checking all possible causes, including sickness, fighting between animals, or poisoning. The exact cause will be known only after the post-mortem report.

After the leopard’s death, BJP State President and Khajuraho MP took serious note of the matter. He spoke to the District Collector and the Field Director on the phone. He asked them to start a full investigation and find out the truth behind these deaths.

The forest department is now on alert and keeping a close watch in the area. People are hoping that the real reason will be found soon.
