Bhiwandi-Wada Road Chokes For 6 Km After Truck Gets Stuck; Locals Protest Slow Construction

Mumbai: A massive traffic jam was witnessed on Bhiwandi Wada Road on Sunday morning following a heavily loaded truck that was stuck, which resulted in heavy traffic for around 5 to 6 kilometers. However, on Wednesday, due to rainfall, the road surface was severely damaged, and traffic was affected.

The heavily loaded vehicle was stuck due to an imbalance between the concrete road and the construction road near Borpada village, within the jurisdiction of the Bhiwandi Taluka Police Station, on Sunday morning, which significantly hindered traffic movement.

The situation was further aggravated due to ongoing road construction at several points along the route. The traffic congestion extended to five to six kilometers, with several commuters stranded at different locations on Bhiwandi Wada Road for over one to two hours.
