52-Year-Old Labourer Dies After Being Run Over By Farm Owner’s Car As Water Pump Burnout In MP's Harda

Harda (Madhya Pradesh): A 52-year-old worker died after allegedly being run over by a farm owner’s car because the water pump motor on the farm had burned out in MP's Harda on Friday.

According to information, Vikram Kevat, died after being run over by a farm owner’s car in Goyat village, under Timarni police station area of Harda district.

The shocking incident happened late Friday night after the farm’s water pump motor got burnt. Police have arrested the accused and registered a murder case.

Vikram used to take care of the motor pump at a farm near the Narmada River.

Around 11 PM, the farm owner, Anil Jat (40), came to the farm and saw that the motor was not working. He got angry and hit Vikram with his car.

According to Vikram’s son, Lalit Kevat, after the first hit, Anil reversed the car and ran over his father again. Vikram was seriously injured and was being taken to the hospital, but he died on the way.

Harda SP Abhinav Chouksey confirmed that Vikram had deep internal injuries.

Tire marks found at the spot and the injuries on the body show that the act was done on purpose. Police arrested Anil Jat and are now investigating further to understand the full reason behind the incident.
