Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly told Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho that he can leave Old Trafford when the summer transfer window opens. The development comes as no surprise, given Garnacho expressed his frustration over being benched by the manager in the UEFA Europa League final against Tottenham.

Manchester United have reportedly set the price on Alejandro Garnacho, who was considered the next Marcus Rashford not long ago. Any potential buyer should be willing to make an offer ranging from £60 million to £70 million for the 20-year-old, Daily Mail said in a report. Selling the Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy from Lionel Messi's homeland would generate 100 per cent profit for the fiscally struggling United under financial fair play rules, the report added.

After the Europa League defeat, Manchester United are open to selling the entire squad including captain Bruno Fernandes, earlier reports claimed. Manager Amorim was to be tasked to oversee a complete overhaul as the Europa League was the last ray of hope for the club to salvage the season. Winning the competition would have ensured Champions League qualification which could have offered crucial monetary relief.

However, a massive rebuild is unlikely owing to the financial constraints, others believe. So, the best fans can hope for in the new season is some savvy moves in the market and a team that can hopefully get into the top half of the Premier League.

For Garnacho, his outspoken remarks after the defeat to Spurs were the final nail in the coffin of his United career. "I played every round to help the team reach the final, and today I only got 20 minutes," the Argentine reportedly told the media in Spain.

In January, reports emerged stating that academy graduates Kobbie Mainoo and Garnacho were no longer untouchables at the Theatre of Dreams as  Amorim might consider selling them. When the Portuguese manager took charge of Manchester United after Erik ten Hag’s sacking, the board reportedly barred him from selling three players: Rasmus Højlund,  Mainoo, and  Garnacho. As things stand, those reports have proven true—at least for Garnacho.

The Red Devils, meanwhile, are almost certain to sign forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a deal worth £62.5 million. The transfer is expected to be finalized shortly after the final match of the season against Aston Villa. Thus, making some big money sellings is necessary to ensure that the club can afford to make a few more transfers as part of the reconstruction.
