HP Secretariat gets email threatening to blow it up

A month after the Chief Secretary’s office received a bomb threat email, another threat email claiming to blow up the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat was received today.

Taking prompt action, bomb squads along with sniffer dogs reached the spot and conducted a thorough search of the premises. However, no suspicious thing was found. Though none of the employees were present — being a public holiday — at the Secretariat, the security of the Secretariat was beefed up as a precautionary measure.

Investigating agencies have initiated a probe and are confirming the authenticity as well as the source of the email.
