Bad news for Pakistan as this Indian fighter jet is far more dangerous than JF-17, name is…, not Rafale, can destroy enemy from…

Tejas MK1: Good news for India as the indigenously built Tejas MK1 fighter jet is going to be more powerful and dangerous. The work of modernising the fighter jet will start in 2026 and will be done gradually. Meanwhile, there is also talk of the China-made JF-17 aircraft during the Indo-Pak conflict in which the Indian Armed Forces took revenge for the Pahalgam terror attack. Let’s compare both the fighter jets and check which is better than the other.

40 Tejas MK1 Fighter Jet To Become More Powerful

As per reports, the upgrade program for Tejas Mk1 will start next year, as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) plans to develop the Tejas Mk1 fleet from that year. As many as 40 Tejas aircraft will be upgraded with new equipment and weapons, making them more dangerous for the enemy. These 40 jets will include 32 32 single-seat fighters and 8 twin-seat trainer aircraft.

What To Expect?

Tejas fighter jets will undergo a modernization program, replacing their existing electronics, radar, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems with newer, more advanced technology. This includes upgrading the radar system, for instance, from the ELM-2032 to the ELM-2052 AESA radar. Essentially, the aircraft’s outdated equipment will be removed and substituted with contemporary systems.

Tejas Has Progressed A Lot From Kaveri Engine

The Kaveri engine project, which was started during 1980s by the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), was intended to power the indigenously made Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas.

However, the project faced several challenges due to which it failed to meet the needed requirements of the indigenous fighter jet.

Notably, Kaveri 2.0 is a project at indigenous engine development for the Indian fighter aircraft. The engine is being designed to give powerful thrust similar to GE F414. It is expected to be ready around 2031-32.

Overhauling Of Tejas Will Make It Effective For A Longer Time

Tejas Mk1 fighter jets will undergo a comprehensive overhaul, replacing damaged or worn components with modern upgrades. This maintenance program will extend the operational lifespan of the aircraft, ensuring their continued effectiveness in contemporary military operations.

Attack On The Enemy From A Height O f 52 Thousand Feet

As per Retired Colonel Sanjay Srivastava of the Gorkha Regiment, the Tejas fighter jet has a payload capacity of eight to nine tons, a speed of Mach 1.6 to 1.8 (approx  2200 km per hour), and a maximum operational altitude of 52,000 feet.

JF-17 Cannot Even Touch This Technology Of Tejas

Tejas’s advanced capabilities include an Active Electronically Scanned Radar, enabling Beyond Visual Range missile attacks and enhancing its overall operational effectiveness. The aircraft also features an electronic warfare suite and air-to-air refueling capability, surpassing the capabilities of Pakistan’s JF-17 fighter jet.
