Dumper impounded for illegal mining in Bhiwani district
The district administration seized a dumper indulging in illegal mining during a drive in Tosham region of Bhiwani district today.
Tosham SDM Ashvir Nain said a dumper bearing registration number HR-61-F-2222 was impounded and a fine imposed on it as per rules after proper assessment. He added that several vehicle checks were conducted, during which a dumper loaded with illegally mined materials was caught and handed over to the police.
He stated that strict action was being taken against any mining vehicle found operating without a valid e-Transit Permit (e-Ravana). He said during a joint inspection by the Department of Mines and Commerce and the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, e-billing of vehicles was checked. Task forces and the Mining Department are monitoring the mining areas and vehicles through an online platform and the e-Ravana system, he said.
To prevent illegal mining, the department has implemented a round-the-clock coordination system to carry out inspections of suspicious vehicles in the hilly regions in the district, he said adding that any vehicle found operating without a valid e-Ravana in violation of Rules 102 and 104 of the Haryana Minor Mineral Concession, Stocking, Transportation of Minerals and Prevention of Illegal Mining Rules, 2012, immediate action will be taken.
The SDM said the Mining Department and task force teams are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance in areas such as Khanak, Baganwala, Dadam, Pinjokhara, Dulhedi, Nigana, Rewasa, and Kharkari.
