Khaleja Re-Release Box Office Collection Day 1: Mahesh Babu Starrer Takes A Fantastic Start

In 2010, Mahesh Babu and Anushka Shetty were seen together in Trivikram Srinivas' Khaleja. At that time, the film had failed to make a mark at the box office. But, now, after 15 years of its original release, the movie has been re-released. Khaleja was re-released on Friday (May 20, 2025), and the film has taken a bumper opening at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, the movie on day 1 of its re-release, collected Rs. 5.75 crore at the domestic box office, and internationally it minted Rs. 1 crore. So, the day one worldwide collection was Rs. 6.75 crore, which is fantastic for a re-released movie.

Talking about the opening day collection of re-release South films, Khaleja is at the third position. At the first position is Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli which had collected Rs. 7.75 crore, and at the second spot is Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh, which had minted Rs. 7+ crore on its day 1 worldwide.

Mahesh Babu's fans are celebrating the re-release of the film. They are throwing the paper cuttings in theatres, and are hooting and dancing. Well, Khaleja was not a hit at the box office when it was released in 2010, however, it looks like during its re-release the film will collect a good amount.

Bhairavam Box Office Collection Day 1

Meanwhile, the new Telugu release Bhairavam has taken a low opening at the box office with a collection of Rs. 2.60 crore. The collection is lower than the Khaleja's re-release first-day amount. Sreenivas Bellamkonda starrer needs to show a huge jump at the box office over the weekend.
