Pune Metro Hits ₹7.72 Crore Revenue, 47.62 Lakh Ridership In May — Highest In 3 Months

Pune Metro saw strong growth in May 2025, earning ₹7.72 crore in revenue and recording 47.62 lakh passengers—the highest ridership in the last three months. The rise shows that more people in Pune are choosing the Metro for daily travel.

In May, the PCMC to Swargate (Purple Line) earned ₹3.64 crore and carried 21.46 lakh passengers. The Ramwadi to Vanaz (Aqua Line) brought in ₹4.07 crore with 26.15 lakh riders.

From January to May, Pune Metro showed steady growth. January had the highest numbers so far with 49.64 lakh riders and ₹7.78 crore in revenue. February dropped to 43.07 lakh riders and ₹6.71 crore. In March and April, ridership improved to 44.81 lakh and 46.59 lakh, and revenue rose to ₹7.01 crore and ₹7.47 crore. May’s figures are the second-highest this year, showing growing trust in Metro services.
