Damoh Tehsildar Accuses SP of Assaulting Family at Katni Women Police Station; Wife CSP Khyati Mishra Denies Claims (VIDEO)

Katni (Madhya Pradesh): A serious dispute has erupted involving Damoh Tehsildar Shailendra Bihari Sharma, his wife CSP Khyati Mishra, and Katni SP Abhijeet Ranjan.

The Tehsildar has alleged that the police, on the instructions of the SP, forcibly took his family from the CSP's official residence and beat them at the Women’s Police Station.

According to Sharma, police officers dragged his mother, his 8-year-old son, CSP Khyati Mishra’s mother, and other family members into a police vehicle and detained them at the Women’s Police Station.

He claimed they were assaulted and not allowed to meet the media. The family was allegedly kept at the station until 3 am.

Sharma accused the SP of plotting a conspiracy to harm his family and said this incident happened while they were packing belongings at the CSP residence in Civil Lines, Katni. CSP Khyati Mishra, recently transferred to Amarpatan as SDOP, had returned to Katni on Saturday night to move her belongings.

While the Tehsildar claims police acted violently on the SP’s orders, SP Abhijeet Ranjan has denied all accusations. CSP Khyati Mishra, on the other hand, said that her husband himself arrived at the bungalow and misbehaved with the staff.

Khyati Mishra’s son also alleged that his grandparents were beaten by the police.

The incident escalated further when journalists tried to cover the story. Reportedly, police misbehaved with media personnel too, pushing them away. Later, police officials were seen apologizing with folded hands.

Further investigation is awaited, while the incident has triggered political and media attention across the region.
