Punjabi University archer Preneet Kaur secures place for World Games 2025

Punjabi University has received two good news regarding archery. Archer Preneet Kaur secured her place to represent India in the World Games 2025 from August 7 to 17, 2025, to be held in Chengdu, China, by securing first place during the trials held in Sonepat. She also secured a quota place for India with her stellar performance. Dr Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa, Director Sports, Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP), while giving this information said on the other hand archer Pooja won three medals in the European Para Archery world ranking event held in Rome, Italy. Her coach Surinder Singh Randhawa informed that these achievements were in the form of individual bronze, women’s double team bronze and mixed team silver. PUP Vice Chancellor Dr Jagdeep Singh congratulated both the archers and their coach Surinder Singh Randhawa on this achievement. He said talented players were the pride of the university, who were flying the flags of their achievements to further elevate the prestige of the university, at the international level. He said, “It is more matter of pride that the two latest achievements are of girl students. All possible steps will be taken to create an environment in the university that will promote sports culture along with a better academic environment so that this series of achievements can be further extended in the future.”
