Nisha Aur Uske Cousins Actor Vibhu Raghave Passes Away After 3-Year-Long Battle With Neuroendocrine Colon Cancer
Actor Vaibhav Kumar Singh Raghave, who went by his stage name Vibhu Raghave, passed away on June 2 in Mumbai after his three-year-long battle with cancer. The actor was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroendocrine colon cancer back in 2022.
Vibhu breathed his last at Mumbai's Nanavati hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for quite some time now. The actor's friends, including Simple Kaul and Addite Malik confirmed the news of his demise.
In a heartbreaking statement, his family and friends said, "The purest soul, a beacon of strength & positivity. His smile could light up any room & his presence alone made everything feel better. He faced life with unmatched grace & left behind a love that will never fade. He will be deeply missed. Always (sic)."
His funeral will be held in Mumbai's Jogeshwari suburb on Tuesday afternoon.
Vibhu had been a part of several shows on television, including Saavdhaan India, Rhythm and Suvreen Chawla, among others. However, it was his stint on Nisha Aur Uske Cousins with Aneri Vajani that made him a known face in the small screen industry.
Vibhu Raghave's cancer battle
In February 2022, Vibhu had shared the news of being diagnosed with cancer with a video on social media. Since then, he had been constantly updating his fans and followers on his cancer journey, and vowed to not give up, but instead, fight hard in the face of sickness and adversities.
It was only a month ago when his friends, actors Simple Kaul, Karan Veer Mehra and Addite Malik urged people to extend their support to Vibhu's treatment.
They requested people to contribute towards Vibhu's chemotherapy. "It’s been an overwhelming journey for all of us to see him go through this . He’s fighting it bravely . We have exhausted our funds and We need immediate funds to save him . Pls pray for his recovery & do contribute whatever you can for his hospital treatment," the post read.
