Rs 400 crore for road projects in Jubbal Nawar Kotkhai: Education Minister

Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that improving road connectivity is a key priority for the state government, with numerous road projects worth Rs 400 crore currently underway in the Jubbal Nawar Kotkhai constituency. He made these remarks while addressing the public during a visit to his constituency today.

Thakur stated that, under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana,’ the Koti-Sarai-Dhar road has been approved with a budget of approximately Rs 15 crore. In addition, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the road from Syao Kainchi to Badshal Bridge is under consideration, with an estimated cost of Rs 14.50 crore. Work is also in progress on the road from Mendli to Syao Kainchi, with a budget of around Rs 10 crore.

During his visit to Pujarli village, the minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Government Excellent Central High School, Pujarli, which has been built at a cost of Rs 22.45 lakh. Furthermore, Rs 2.20 lakh has been allocated to provide furniture for the school. He also inspected the Government Senior Secondary School building, which is being built at a cost of Rs 4.90 crore.

He added that the process of land transfer for the proposed veterinary dispensary is ongoing, and a budgetary provision of Rs 1.15 crore has been made for the same. Additionally, a Panchayat building is under construction at a cost of Rs 33 lakh.
