Mumbai: Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha Orders PTAs In BMC Schools, Stresses Monthly Meets & Heritage Awareness
Minister for Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Mangal Prabhat Lodha has directed education officials to establish Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in municipal schools to address educational issues through regular discussions between teachers and parents.
The minister emphasized the importance of PTAs during a recent visit to the Kawale Math Municipal School in Walkeshwar, where he attended the school's entrance festival. Lodha suggested that PTAs should meet with teachers at least once a month to resolve various issues.
During the event, Lodha interacted with parents and encouraged them to share their suggestions. He also directed education officials to organize special awareness programs in schools once a month to educate students about the contributions of notable figures from Maharashtra, such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Ahilyabai Holkar, Savitribai Phule, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The minister's efforts have led to the introduction of select ITI courses in municipal schools, and he is committed to working towards the bright future of students.
