Shia Board Urges PM Modi To Rescue Stranded Indian Pilgrims In Iran & Israel
Lucknow: In light of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, All India Shia Personal Law Board General Secretary Maulana Yaseub Abbas has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the government to ensure the safe return of Indian Shia pilgrims stranded in Iran and Iraq. The pilgrims are facing immense difficulties and insecurity due to the current situation.
Abbas emphasized that the holy shrines of the Shia community are located in Iran and Iraq, attracting a large number of Indian pilgrims each year. He requested that the government utilize its influence and resources to facilitate the swift and secure return of the pilgrims.
Abbas expressed confidence that the government will take prompt action, and the Shia community will remain grateful for its efforts. The plea highlights the concerns of the Indian Shia community regarding their citizens abroad.
