Designistic Motors inaugurates first EV plant in Phagwara, eyes global expansion

As part of India’s green initiative, Vishal Kalra, Founder and CEO of Designistic Motors Limited, inaugurated the company’s first Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Phagwara.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Shri Sukhmani Sahib Path, followed by the formal inauguration by Kalra’s parents, Rakesh Kalra and Geeta Kalra, adding a personal and emotional touch to the occasion.

The event was attended by Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, MLA from Phillaur, who appreciated the company’s vision and said such initiatives would not only promote clean energy but also open up employment opportunities in the region.

He lauded Designistic Motors for contributing to Punjab’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation.

Addressing the gathering, Vishal Kalra said the new plant is a step towards building a cleaner and stronger India. “This plant is not just infrastructure; it is a commitment to a sustainable future and the power of transforming dreams into determination,” he said. He further emphasised that the company’s goal is to create meaningful impact beyond profits.

Looking ahead, Kalra revealed plans to expand internationally. “Our next target is to set up an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Ethiopia,” he said.
