New Delhi: Bollywood star Aamir Khan recreates Magnus Carlsen’s table slam meme, the moment which took place at the Norway Chess tournament 2025. When Magnus Carlsen lost to Indian Chess Grandmaster D Gukesh, Magnus hit his fist on the table and went to the hall in frustration. This moment went viral on social media, sparking a hilarious meme fest.
Bollywood star Aamir Khan recreated the table slam, watch the video below:
“The memes are actually funny. There was a meme with a cat on the table and the cat jumps. I was laughing for like 10 minutes,” Gukesh told Chessbase India on a meme featuring a cat’s reaction to Carlsen’s fist-smash.
Magnus Carlsen went on to win the Norway chess tournament for a record seventh time in his career. He finished at the top of the standings with 16 points.
“I generally feel that I can outplay the kids, which feels good! Gukesh showed in this tournament that he’s on track, he’s doing fantastic, but he’s maybe not way ahead of track, as we may have thought. Every single one of them has very, very clear flaws in their game, which you’re supposed to do at that time. Once-in-a-generation talents are once-in-a-generation talents for a reason – it’s not that easy.” Magnus Carlsen said.
