Over 400 Dead in Iran Amid Israel War; India Launches 'Operation Sindhu' to Evacuate Nationals

As the war between Israel and Iran escalates with continued missile attacks from both sides, Iran has suffered massive destruction, with over 400 deaths reported. Amid this devastation, the Indian government has launched Operation Sindhu to ensure the safe return of Indian citizens, including students and workers, trapped in the conflict zone.Families in India had been living in fear for their loved ones stuck in Iran. Many of those rescued shared emotional accounts of the terrifying nights filled with explosions and blaster sounds. Indian MBBS students, especially from cities like Tehran and Isfahan, faced grave danger. One student praised the Indian government, saying, “If I could give a score out of 10, I would give 100.”India's Ministry of External Affairs, in coordination with the Indian Embassy and airlines like Indigo, arranged special charter flights to bring citizens back home. Those rescued expressed immense gratitude for the swift and well-organized evacuation, receiving full meals, shelter, and continuous assistance. More flights are scheduled from Turkmenistan to continue the evacuation.
