'Divine Intervention': Taali Actress Sheetal Kale Reveals She Had Booked Tickets For Helicopter That Crashed In Kedarnath, Cancelled It Last Minute

Actress Sheetal Kale, best known for her role in Sushmita Sen's show, Taali, revealed on social media that she was supposed to be on the same helicopter that crashed in Kedarnath on June 15, killing 7 people.

The actress took to her Instagram stories to share that she, along with her family, had already booked the tickets for the helicopter ride, but they had to cancel the plan last minute after her mother fell sick. "I feel deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter crash in Kedarnath. My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones. What’s even more shocking is me and my family were supposed to be on that same helicopter, on the same day (sic)," she wrote.

"Tickets were booked, everything was planned. But just a day before, my mom’s sudden health issue made us cancel the trip. At the time, I was disappointed… now, I believe it was nothing short of divine intervention. That twist of fate saved our lives. Life is fragile and being alive is the biggest blessing (sic)," she added.

Seven people died in the tragic helicopter crash in Kedarnath on June 15, including a two-year-old and the pilot. The chopper crashed in the forests of Gauri Mai Khark between Gaurikund and Triyuginarayan while on the way to Kedarnath Dham due to bad weather. It was reported around 5:30 am.

Speaking of Sheetal, she played the role of Nargis in Sushmita Sen's Taali, a show based on the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. It released in 2023 and received mixed response from the masses.

Sheetal has also been a part of shows like Jai Chhathi Maa and Mirzapur.
