INLD to hold state-level protest in Panchkula on July 1
INLD Kisan Cell state president Phool Singh Manjura has said that the INLD will hold a state-level protest on July 1 against the increase in electricity tariffs. “The state government has increased the tariffs, leading to resentment among people. The INLD will raise the voice of people by holding a state-level protest in Panchkula,” he said while addressing party workers during a state-level meeting of the cell here on Sunday.
Referring to the INLD being the voice of people of Haryana, he said, “When Punjab stopped Haryana’s water, it was INLD that decided to block Punjab’s roads. We are committed to defending Haryana’s interests.”
He said the INLD was committed to the welfare of farmers, labourers and the working class.
Karnal district president Surjeet Singh also took a dig at the government, saying, “The public is crushed under inflation. Farmers are under debt, the youth are unemployed, and even education has become unreachable for the middle class. The INLD is firmly rooted at the ground level and is poised for a strong comeback.”
Manjura also announced the names of district-level office-bearers for Karnal. Ombir Mandhan has been appointed the state general secretary of the cell and Rajkumar Jaisinghpura its state executive member. Naresh Ghanghas from Rangrutikhera is the Karnal district Kisan Cell president; Rampal senior vice-president; Harpeet Singh, Sunder Maan, Zile Singh, Pardeep Raman, Kuldeep Sandhu and Lucky vice-presidents; Shamsher Singh Dabar, Ramphal, Rajbir, Praveen Ror, Mukesh Maan, Dharmbir, Manjeet Goyat, and Anil general secretaries; Jagbir Singh, Sham Singh, Rinku, Surender, Naresh Rana, Ranbir Bairagi, Jarnail Singh, Ballu Manglaura, and Gurvinder Virk secretaries.
Rajesh Picholia was named as the Assandh block president, Shravan Phor for Gharaunda block, Sukhchain Singh Lagar for Nilokheri, Harpal Singh Dabri for Karnal, and Rajkumar Raju for Indri.
