According to the information, on the first day, the 180-seater plane reached Darbhanga with full passengers. The plane took off from Mumbai Airport at 10:55 for Darbhanga. After a journey of two hours and 39 minutes, the plane landed in Darbhanga at 1:34. At the airport, the plane was welcomed by spraying water cannons. Cake and chocolates were distributed among all the passengers coming in the plane.

He sent off the passenger of the flight service for Mumbai by giving him a boarding pass.

The MP said that the process of new terminal building, night landing is in the final stage to make Darbhanga Airport an international airport. At the same time, the state government and the district administration are seriously taking initiative for hundred acres of land for setting up a CISF camp at the airport.

Darbhanga Airport was started on 8 November 2020 under the Udan scheme. Since then, only SpiceJet company’s flight was flying daily between Darbhanga and Mumbai. A large number of passengers used to reach this air route to catch the flight. Passengers were facing a lot of trouble due to sudden cancellation of the flight.
Passengers travelling till Nepal
From 1st December, IndiGo has been operating flights between Darbhanga and Mumbai four days a week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. After this, more number of passengers started coming to travel from Darbhanga Airport. Now with the start of Akasa’s flight service, there is a hope among the passengers from Mithila and neighbouring country Nepal to get tickets for going and coming between Darbhanga and Mumbai at low fares during festivals.

SpiceJet flight SG 937 coming from Delhi to Darbhanga reached 10 minutes before the scheduled time of 11 o’clock. Indigo flight 6E7234 coming from Kolkata to Darbhanga reached 28 minutes before the scheduled time of 11:55. Akasa flight QP 1529 coming from Mumbai to Darbhanga reached at 1:34, four minutes late from the scheduled time of 1:30. IndiGo flight 6E537 from Hyderabad to Darbhanga arrived five minutes before the scheduled time of 2:20. IndiGo flight 6E360 from Delhi to Darbhanga arrived at the scheduled time of 4 o’clock.
