ICAI J&K Branch celebrates 77th CA Day

JAMMU, July 6: The Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated the 77th Chartered Accountants Day with great enthusiasm at Royal Park, Greater Kailash, here today.
The event began with a seminar on “Financial Reporting Practices,” held under the aegis of the Financial Reporting Review Board (FRRB), ICAI.
CA Sourav Pargal, Chairman of the J&K Branch, welcomed the guests and members, highlighting the evolving role of Chartered Accountants in ensuring financial transparency.
He congratulated the newly qualified CAs and paid tribute to their families for their support and sacrifices.
Guest speakers CA Suhel Gupta, CA Shivang Sharma, and CA Anmol Gupta shared insights on key topics including FRRB overview, common non-compliances under Accounting Standards, Schedule III, Standards on Auditing, Companies Act, and CARO.
During the event, the newly qualified Chartered Accountants were felicitated, and cash awards were presented to meritorious candidates.
These included the “Late CA R C Gupta Memorial,” “Late Sudesh Sawhney Memorial,” “Late Omesh Gupta Memorial,” “Late Vinod Gupta Memorial,” “Late Indu and Om Parkash Gupta Memorial,” and “Late Mela Ram Pargal Memorial” awards for outstanding performance in the 2024 CA Final examination.
The celebration continued with games, music by a live band, exciting prizes, and a grand dinner.
RJ Tani anchored the proceedings and CA Amit Gupta, Vice Chairman, delivered the vote of thanks.
The event was also attended by Secretary CA Jatin Malhotra, Treasurer CA Sanchit Aggarwal, Executive Members CA Ayush Mahajan and CA Ayush Sawhney, and many members along with their families.
