JNPA handles 19,50,188 TEUs in Q1; reports 15.52% growth

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India’s largest container port, from April 2025 to June 2025, handled 19,50,188 TEUs of container traffic, an increase of 15.52% compared to the corresponding period in the previous financial year. During April 2025 to June 2025, JNPA handled 1,764 container rakes and 284,102 TEUs as compared to 1,534 rakes and 243,309 TEUs during the corresponding period in the previous financial year. JNPA’s steady momentum in container handling is driven by efficient terminal operations. As capacity utilisation improves and support services align with demand, the port is well-positioned to meet higher throughput in the coming months.
