Top Chinese Air Force official impressed by Pakistan Air Force's 'decisive, measured response' during Operation Sindoor

Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), Lt. Gen. Wang Gang, who is in Pakistan for a high-level visit, hailed the "decisive and measured" response of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the recent military conflict with India.

Lt. Gen. Gang met Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, and the two reportedly discussed issues of mutual interest.

“He (Lt. Gen. Gang) praised the decisive and measured response delivered by PAF pilots under the resolute leadership of the Air Chief, describing it as a textbook example of precision, discipline and courage in the face of unprovoked aggression,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media and public relations wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, has been quoted as saying.

His comments come even as China recently tried to downplay Indian Army's Deputy Chief Lt Gen Rahul R Singh's assertion that Beijing provided active military support to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

“Lt. Gen. Wang Gang expressed deep appreciation for the high state of operational readiness and the cutting-edge capabilities of Pakistan Air Force,” the ISPR statement read, adding that he was also impressed by Pakistan Air Force's "seamless integration of multi-domain operations."

According Geo.tv, Lt. Gen. Gang conveyed the People’s Liberation Army Air Force's keen interest in learning from Pakistan Air Force's battle experience with India. The media report further claimed that he paid "rich tribute" to PAF's "exemplary performance" during the military conflict with India.

A few days ago, Lt Gen. Singh had suggested that China used its satellites to monitor Indian military deployment, as the Pakistani military was getting live inputs on it during the DGMO (Director General of Military Operations)-level phone talks.
