Violence, Forced Marriage, Identity Fraud & Assaults: Disturbing Cases Across Several States

Disturbing incidents have emerged from various parts of India, raising serious concerns about safety and governance. In Bihar's Bhimpur, a young man was brutally assaulted over suspected illicit relations with a distant aunt; both were dragged outside, beaten, and then forcibly married by villagers. In Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi, a divorce dispute escalated into a violent clash between two families using sticks and belts, turning a public block premises into a battleground. In Bihar’s Madhepura, a woman received a voter ID card featuring Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s photo, sparking political outrage. In Maharashtra’s Ambernath, CCTV footage showed a man mercilessly beating a child in a lift and lobby area. Meanwhile, in Hajipur, RJD supporters were seen misbehaving with a female police officer and locking a shopkeeper inside his own store over a dispute related to a political procession. These shocking incidents, caught on video, highlight the increasing frequency of mob justice, administrative lapses, and political misconduct.
