Who is Radhika Yadav, the tennis player shot dead by own father?

In what is a shocking development in Gurugram, prodigious tennis player Radhika Yadav has been shot dead by her own father, subsequently causing the former's death. Radhika succumbed to three successive bullets fired at her family residence, located in Sector 57 of Gurugram. Reportedly, a total of five bullets were fired, of which three hit Radhika.
Acccording to NDTV, the reason behind the incident was an argument that broke out between Radhika and her father who wasn't happy with the tennis player's fascination for making reels on Instagram. What started as a regular family debate soon turned ugly with Radhika's father losing his sense of calm that ultimately resulted in the firing.
Critically wounded by the firing, the 25-year-old was initially rushed to the nearest hospital but passed away while the treatment was in process. When the incident came to the notice of Gurugram Sector 56 police station, the in-charge duly carried out preliminary investigation which revealed that Radhika's father was the person who had committed the offence. According to the report by India Today, the incident happened at 10.30 am on Thursday (July 10).
"We got information from the hospital that a 25-year-old woman had died. She suffered three bullet injuries. We met the woman's uncle but he did not say anything. Then we went to the incident spot where we got to know that the woman's father had fired at her," the report quoted Gurugram Sector 56 police station in-charge.
Radhika had been progressing briskly in her tennis career, having broken into the top 200 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) rankings. At the most recent rankings update, she was ranked 113.
