4 children drown in pond in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR, July 14: Four children drowned while bathing in a pond in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, police said.
The incident took place in the Dault Khel area of the Lakki Marwat district.
According to police, the children were between 9 and 12 years old. Two of them were brothers.
Despite efforts by residents, all four boys drowned before help could arrive.
Rescue teams later recovered the bodies.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Ali Anin Gandapur have expressed grief over the incident. (PTI)
