On Way To Drop Sister, 17-Year-Old Hit By Reversing Van In Indore, Dies

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 17-year-old boy died after a reversing van hit him in Indore’s Gandhi Nagar area The deceased has been identified as Bhavisya Yadav. He was on his way to drop his younger sister to school. The incident occurred around 11 am on Monday near the Gayatri Mata temple and was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

Bhavishya was riding a bike with his 13-year-old cousin, Bhumika, en route to school. As he approached the main road, a Maruti Van while reversing suddenly hit them. The impact caused Bhavishya to crash into an iron pole which led to severe head injuries. Bhumika fell on the other side and got injured as well.

According to the police, the van driver took the injured siblings to hospital but fled the scene after dropping them off. Bhavishya gave up during treatment due to his severe injuries. Bhumika is currently admitted to a private hospital and having a treatment.

Bhavishya was the only son of his parents. His father runs a small grocery store and the family is grieved by the sudden loss. Police have started to trace the van and the driver responsible for the accident. Officials are checking cctv footages to get information about the Van.

The incident raised concerns about careless driving and the lack of responsibility. The family has demanded strict action against the accused.
