Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrates foundation day
The Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrated its foundation day with enthusiasm at Phagwara. The event was held under the leadership of branch president Ravinder Gulati, drawing participation from several distinguished members and regional office-bearers.
The meeting commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the image of Bharat Mata followed by the soulful rendition of the national song “Vande Mataram”. Branch secretary Jatinder Aggarwal presented the agenda for the meeting and shared highlights of the organisation’s previous social projects.
Provincial leaders Ashok Gupta and Chander Mohan Sharma delivered an inspiring address detailing the legacy of the organisation’s founder Dr Suraj Prakash and the guiding philosophy behind the parishad’s pan-India service initiatives since its inception on July 10, 1963. They emphasised that the parishad’s sustained commitment to nation-building through value-based service activities.
Adding a touch of entertainment, Sushma Sharma and Praveen Chumm conducted engaging games and activities for parishad members. Former state president Vipin Dhingra appealed for continued cooperation and participation in future projects.
The meeting was coordinated by organisational secretary Harjinder Gogna.
