Two juveniles held in murder attempt case in Chandigarh
The Chandigarh Police have solved an attempt-to-murder case with the arrest of two juveniles. The incident, reported on July 17, left a 16-year-old boy critically injured after being stabbed near Sector 49.
The investigation, led by Om Parkash, SHO of Sector-49 police station, involved an exhaustive review of footage from over 110 CCTV cameras and verification of multiple offenders. The probe revealed that the attack stemmed from a prior altercation in a school bathroom, where the victim, Shivam Singh, had a scuffle with a group of juveniles. The confrontation turned into a vendetta, culminating in the brutal assault.
Acting on local intelligence, the police apprehended two juveniles and seized from them a dagger, a Splendor motorcycle, a blood-stained stone and the clothes worn during the crime.
