Atamjeet wins roller skating gold medal

Atamjeet Kaur claimed above 18 (speed) girls’ category gold on the opening day of the Chandigarh Roller Skating State Championship here today. Nishita finished second and Kanika bagged third position.

In the boys’ 15-18 event, Nudit, Krishang and Kushal claimed the top three positions, respectively. Palak won gold, followed by Jasmeet and Aarshiya in the girls’ category. Athrav won the boys’ 12-15 event by defeating Yugraj. Geetank claimed third position.

In the boys’ 10-12 event, Nikunj bagged first position while Anuj finished second and Sampreet third. In the girls’ event, Avni, Anhad and Aarika won the top three positions, respectively. In the girls’ 8-10 category, Durstha bagged gold and Mehak finished second. Taisha won third position. In the boys’ event, Aryan touched the finish line first, followed by Kian and Amrit.

In the 3000m road race event of the boys’ 12-15 group, Raghav Gupta defeated Yugraj for the first position, and Abhay finished third.

Meanwhile, in the inline roller hockey event, the girls’ team of Ting Tots Ryan Skating Club went down 1-5 against Ryan Skating Club. Ryan Skating Club defeated Roller Jet 1-0, while the boys’ cadet team of Ryan A faced 2-4 defeat against Ryan B. — TNS
