NEET UG: New schedule for NEET UG counselling round 3 released, choice filling can now be done till October 16

The revised schedule for the third phase of NEET UG counseling was released by the MCC on Monday. Several new MBBS seats have also been added. Let’s find out when the seat allocation results will be released and when will candidates be able to report to colleges?

NEET UG counselling: The Medical Counseling Committee has released a new schedule for the third phase of NEET UG 2025 counseling. You can check it on the official website, http://mcc.nic.in. The choice filling/locking date has been extended once. Candidates can select courses and colleges based on their preferences and rank until October 16, 2025. Candidates will also be required to lock their choices, which can be availed from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on October 16.

According to the revised schedule, seat allotment processing will continue until October 17 and 18. The MCC will announce the seat allocation results on October 18, 2025. The results were originally scheduled to be announced on October 11. However, due to the increase in MBBS seats, the choice filling date was extended to October 13.

Candidates must report to their assigned college between October 19th and 27th. They must appear for the admission process within nine days with the required documents. Between October 28th and 29th, institutions will verify the data submitted by candidates.

200 New MBBS Seats Added

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has added 8 new MBBS seats under the AIQ quota and 17 under the ESIC Insured Persons quota. Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Jaipur, has added 8 new seats under the AIQ quota and 17 under the Insured Persons quota. Bharat Medical College and Hospital, Tambaram, Chennai, has added 50 MBBS seats under the Deemed University quota. Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital Campus-2, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has added 50 seats under the Deemed University quota. Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur, Maharashtra, has added 43 AIQ and 7 NRI seats.

Stray Vacancy Round Schedule

The dates for the All India Quota, Deemed University, and Central University online stray vacancy rounds have also been announced. Candidates will be given the opportunity to register and pay fees from October 30th to November 3rd. The choice filling and locking process will continue from November 1 to November 5. The results will be declared on November 8. Candidates will be able to report to their allotted colleges between November 9 and November 15 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing courses.

Stage UG counseling schedule also released

MCC has also released the state counseling schedule. Round 3 counseling will run from October 10th to October 27th. Candidate data verification will be completed by November 4th. Candidates can join colleges by November 1st. Stray vacancy counseling will run from November 3rd to November 9th. Colleges must be joined by November 15th.
