Air India crew hang cockroach 'until death'? Dubai-bound flight incident goes viral

Air India has gone viral yet again, but for a bizarre reason this time: a cabin-care note on one of its flights from Delhi to Dubai, which said a cockroach had been hanged "until death".
The cabin defect log entry for the AI 315 flight on October 24, posted by an aviation journalist on X, has since gone viral.
"The rectification note wryly mentioned that the matter was dealt with ... conclusively," the journalist wrote in her X post, which has since garnered close to 30,000 views.
According to the entry, a passenger had spotted the cockroach mid-flight, after which it was apparently contained and 'executed'.
Following protocol, the cabin crew member wrote it down in the cabin defect log—perhaps a tad too literally.
"17 'G' cockroach found alive by guest ... Cockroach hanged to until death," the crew member wrote in the log entry. Air India has yet to respond to the 'hanging'.
"90 per cent IFE INOP", read another shocking log entry, just below the cockroach one, possibly referring to 90 per cent of the in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems not working properly, or 'inoperative' (INOP). However, this problem was allegedly solved later on, the crew member wrote.
"I want to know if the body was surrendered to the family or not," an X user quipped.
"How do you manage to get such details? That an official document only for the airline use," an X user questioned.
"But cockroaches can survive for up to a week after their heads are cut," a third X user pointed out.
"Perhaps the right SOP would have been...,'Catering Informed'," another user quipped.
