How Mukesh Ambani brought land for Antilia

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi, in a recent statement claimed that the land where Antilia was built originally belonged to a Waqf trust. Reports have it that, the property on which Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s Antilia stands today was donated to the Waqf Board back in 1986 by Kareem Bhai Ibrahim. Kareem Bhai Ibrahim had allegedly given the land for purposes like religious education and building an orphanage, but the land was sold to Mukesh Ambani for Rs. 21.5 crore in 2012.

Construction of Antilia began in 2006, initially overseen by Australia-based Leighton Asia and later completed in 2010 by B.E. Billimoria & Company Limited. The architectural design was crafted by the Chicago-based firm Perkins & Will, while the interiors were styled by renowned design house Hirsch Bedner Associates. Marking the home’s completion, Mukesh Ambani held a ten-day Griha Pravesh puja led by prominent priests, officially inaugurating the residence with traditional rituals.
